Additional options for starting flight training
The below additions are optional, but beneficial if you choose to pursue any of these options to assist you on your flight training journey.
Purchase the King Schools Private Pilot Written Test Preparation video course.
The Sporty’s program is a good all-around ground school, and it does include tools to prepare you for the written test, but I don’t think it does a great job preparing students for the written test. I think the King Schools Private Pilot Written Test Preparation video course does a much better job. Because of that you may want to consider purchasing the King Schools Private Pilot Written Test Prep Course and use it as your primary source for studying for the written test. The normal cost of the course is $299.00. You can view the course at https://www.kingschools.com/ground-school/private-pilot/courses.

Join the FAA WINGS Program!
This is optional, but I highly recommend it. The WINGS program offers educational programming and can help reduce the amount of time (and money) you will spend on your flight reviews after you earn your pilot certificate. Go to https://www.faasafety.gov/wings/pub/learn_more.aspx to register and learn more about the FAA WINGS program.
