Comprehensive Private/Sport Pilot Ground School

Link Aviation is pleased to announce availability for its Winter 2025 comprehensive ground school suitable for students preparing for the FAA private pilot or sport pilot knowledge test and flight training. “Rusty” pilots are welcome. Perfect timing to address the ground portion of flight training during the cold weather season. The class will begin on January 28th, 2025 and meets weekly for 7 weeks. Classes will be help from 4:00-6:30PM on Tuesday each week at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport (KEAU), located at 3800 Starr Avenue in the terminal conference room.

The primary content areas required to successfully pass the FAA knowledge test will be covered in detail, including:

  • Airplanes and Aerodynamics

  • Airplane Instruments and Engine Systems, EFIS

  • Airports, Air Traffic Control and U.S. Airspace

  • Federal Aviation Regulations

  • Airplane Performance and Weight-Balance Calculations

  • FAR/AIM, Aeromedical Factors and Aeronautical Decision Making

  • Aviation Weather and Weather Services

  • Navigation: Charts and Publications

  • Cross Country Planning and FAA Exam Prep

The class will be taught by a senior flight instructor from Link Aviation and appropriate logbook endorsements will be provided allowing a student entry into the FAA knowledge test upon completion of the course.

The course fee is $500 and includes all required course materials. Class enrollment will be limited.
