Recreational Pilot Requirements

• Must be at least 17 years of age

• Hold at least a 3rd class medical 

• Be able to read, write, and speak english

• Successfully complete FAA written knowledge test

• 30 hours minimum of flight training (15 minimum hours with a flight instructor)

• Pass the oral and practical flight test
